Vale Lt Col Sir Malcolm Ross GCVO, OBE, GCStJ, DL

“We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former Lord Prior and a Bailiff Grand Cross of the Order of St John, Sir Malcolm Ross.

Sir Malcolm was appointed as the Lord Prior of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem on 1st September 2016 and he served until  St John Day (24th June) this year.

His enthusiasm and commitment to St John was inspirational. He was a frequent visitor to Wales during his time as Lord Prior – we have lost a great leader and friend, and his loss will be profoundly felt in Wales.

Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to Lady Ross and her family”.

Prior for Wales, Sir Paul Williams OBE
