St John Ambulance Cymru are looking forward to celebrating the festive season by hosting our Festive Fun Run to help us to continue in our commitment to providing first aid to everyone, anytime, anywhere.
The Festive Fun Run will take place from 10:30am on Saturday 3rd December in Cardiff’s Roath Park, along a route suitable for all ages and abilities. Participants are encouraged to wear fancy dress to walk, jog or run two laps of the picturesque park. There will be prizes awarded on the day for the best children’s and adult's costumes.
Registration costs £7.50 for adults, and £5 for children with a discounted rate of £20 for family groups consisting of two adults and two children. Children under 3 go free, and all participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants will be given a free Santa hat to really get into the festive spirit.
Events like this are vital to raise funds for St John Ambulance Cymru, who, as Wales’s leading first aid charity are committed to saving lives and enhancing the health and well-being in the communities of Wales.
Whether its working alongside the emergency services offering vital support, or training the next generation of lifesavers as part of one of our children and young people programmes, your support helps St John Ambulance Cymru to continue to improve the health and wellbeing of communities in Wales.
Community and Events Fundraising Manager Alan Drury said “We are really excited to be holding our Festive Fun Run at Cardiff’s iconic Roath Park, and we’d love to see as many individuals and families as possible signing up to take part so that we can end what has been a difficult year for many with a little festive cheer”
“All funds raised from the event will help us to continue providing vital life-saving training and support in communities across Wales.
The money raised really could be the difference between a life lost, or a life saved.”
