St John Ambulance Cymru's Ammanford Cadets support local food bank this Christmas

A massive well done to the St John Ambulance Cymru Ammanford Cadets, who have been working hard to collect donations for their local foodbank to help those in the community who need it most.

The Cadets, their leaders and members of the Division pulled together to collect a huge amount of food for families in need in their area.

The Ammanford Foodbank supplies food for those in the community who are struggling financially. It’s presence is even more important in these financially unstable times. Stephen Cook, a St John Ambulance Cymru member who helped to arrange donation drop offs and the Foodbank’s collection, said:

“All Cadets made every effort in supporting the Ammanford Food Bank with donations.”

“The amount that was donated was more than what we could have hoped, we are so happy to support the foodbank at these difficult times.”

“With us being based in Ammanford, we found it essential to support the local cause; helping families in our community.”

Paul Kennedy, Support Manager for the Ammanford Foodbank, expressed his gratitude:

“We are very grateful to the Ammanford St John Ambulance Cymru Cadets for the donations they gathered recently. They are helping people in their community who are facing financial crisis this winter.”

“Their donations will help prevent many people throughout the Amman Valley having to choose between heating their homes or putting a meal on the table, a decision faced by far too many in the current economic crisis.”

“The shelf-stable items they’ve donated, such as UHT milk, tinned meats, tinned vegetables and porridge set a good example of the types of food we’d gratefully receive throughout the coming months, to continue helping those in need. “

Stephen Cook spoke on behalf of the whole of St John Ambulance Cymru when he said he was “extremely proud” of the Ammanford Cadets and all they did to assist the foodbank. The Cadets’ efforts are a perfect example of St John Ambulance Cymru’s mission, to save lives and enhance the health and well-being in communities in Wales.

Mae Cadetiaid St John Ambulance Cymru  Rhydaman yn cefnogi banc bwyd lleol y Nadolig hwn

Llongyfarchiadau enfawr i Gadetiaid Rhydaman St John Ambulance Cymru, sydd wedi bod yn gweithio’n galed i gasglu rhoddion ar gyfer eu banc bwyd lleol i helpu’r rhai yn y gymuned sydd ei angen fwyaf.

Daeth y Cadetiaid, eu harweinwyr ac aelodau’r Adran ynghyd i gasglu swm enfawr o fwyd i deuluoedd mewn angen yn eu hardal.

Mae Banc Bwyd Rhydaman yn cyflenwi bwyd i'r rhai yn y gymuned sy'n cael trafferthion ariannol. Mae ei bresenoldeb yn bwysicach fyth yn y cyfnod ariannol ansefydlog hwn. Dywedodd Stephen Cook, aelod o St John Ambulance Cymru a helpodd i drefnu gollwng rhoddion a chasgliad y Banc Bwyd:

“Gwnaeth yr holl Gadetiaid bob ymdrech i gefnogi Banc Bwyd Rhydaman gyda rhoddion.”

“Roedd y swm a roddwyd yn fwy na’r hyn y gallem fod wedi’i obeithio, rydym mor hapus i gefnogi’r banc bwyd ar yr adegau anodd hyn.”

“Gyda ni wedi ein lleoli yn Rhydaman, roedd hi’n hanfodol i ni gefnogi’r achos lleol; helpu teuluoedd yn ein cymuned.”

Mynegodd Paul Kennedy, Rheolwr Cymorth ar gyfer Banc Bwyd Rhydaman, ei ddiolchgarwch:

“Rydym yn ddiolchgar iawn i Gadetiaid St John Ambulance Cymru Rhydaman am y rhoddion a gasglwyd ganddynt yn ddiweddar. Maen nhw’n helpu pobl yn eu cymuned sy’n wynebu argyfwng ariannol y gaeaf hwn.”

“Bydd eu rhoddion yn helpu i atal llawer o bobl ledled Dyffryn Aman rhag gorfod dewis rhwng gwresogi eu cartrefi neu roi pryd o fwyd ar y bwrdd, penderfyniad sy’n wynebu gormod o lawer yn yr argyfwng economaidd presennol.”

“Mae’r eitemau silff y maen nhw wedi’u rhoi, fel llaeth UHT, cigoedd tun, llysiau tun ac uwd yn gosod esiampl dda o’r mathau o fwyd y bydden ni’n eu derbyn yn ddiolchgar dros y misoedd nesaf, i barhau i helpu’r rhai mewn angen. “

Siaradodd Stephen Cook ar ran St John Ambulance Cymru gyfan pan ddywedodd ei fod yn “hynod o falch” o Gadetiaid Rhydaman a’r cyfan a wnaethant i gynorthwyo’r banc bwyd. Mae ymdrechion y Cadetiaid yn enghraifft berffaith o genhadaeth St John Ambulance Cymru, i achub bywydau a gwella iechyd a lles mewn cymunedau yng Nghymru.

Mae rhaglenni ieuenctid St John AmbulanceCymru wedi ymrwymo i ddarparu cenhedlaeth newydd o achubwyr bywyd i Gymru, i ddarganfod mwy ewch i www.sjacymru.org.uk/en/page/young-people.
