Certification

Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will receive a St John Ambulance Cymru certificate, valid for 3 years. This means you can continue to be a certified first aider in your place of work

When it comes to sourcing Blended First Aid at Work Requalification training, St John Ambulance Cymru is a trusted and leading training provider in Wales. In the UK, St John Ambulance is one of the voluntary aid societies (VAS) which is recognised by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) as standard setters for first aid training in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. We don't require external accreditation through an awarding organisation. In addition, income generated from our courses helps fund the vital community work we deliver across Wales.

We appreciate that your time is valuable and that it may be difficult to find two consecutive days to renew your First Aid at Work certification. With our convenient blended learning option, you can complete the first day of training virtually up to six weeks before joining us in person for the second day.

No. The only difference between this and the First Aid at Work Requalification Course is that this blended course option allows you to do the first day of training online in your own time. Everything else is the same. This course will still enable you to renew your First Aid at Work certificate for a further 3 years and allows you to remain a qualified first aider for your workplace. This hybrid course means that you can still enjoy learning in person with one of our highly trained instructors.

It's really important that before your certificate expires that you take our First Aid at Work Requalification Course. If your certificate is out of date, then you can no longer be a first aider for your place of work. Employers have a duty of care to ensure that there are always people qualified to deliver first aid onsite should a situation require it, so it is vital that there are always qualified first aiders on a premises. Once you complete this requalification course successfully, your certificate will be valid for a further 3 years and you can remain a qualified first aider for your workplace.
