Certificate

On successful completion of this first aid training course, a delegate will receive an Outdoor First Aid certificate. This qualification is valid for 3 years.

St John Ambulance Cymru is a trusted and leading training provider in Wales. In the UK, St John Ambulance is one of the voluntary aid societies (VAS) who are recognised by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) as standard setters for first aid training in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. We don't require external accreditation through an awarding organisation. We have rigid quality assurance standards so you can be confident knowing you are receiving top quality training.

Outdoor first aid is important because it gives people the practical skills to respond to medical emergencies in outdoor environments. After completing this course, delegates will be able to give immediate care, minimise the impact of injuries, and feel confident managing emergencies in challenging or remote settings.

On our Outdoor First Aid course, you will learn the essential skills and knowledge to provide effective first aid in outdoor settings. This includes handling injuries (limb, head, neck, torso), administering CPR, responding to medical conditions and sudden illness, managing heat and cold related issues, and dealing with environmental or activity related incidents.

We teach all our first aid courses including Outdoor First Aid at our training centres across Wales. Use our 'Book Course' function below to find a convenient course date for you. For groups of six or more, we can come to you to deliver the training. Get in touch with the training team for more information by emailing [email protected].
